The Material - Karelian masur birch The particularly beautiful wood of the masur birch comes from trees in the tree-line regions of the far north. Due to the harsh climatic conditions, the growth height is low and the wood develops an exceptionally rich grain. The precious wood has therefore been traditionally worked to create decorative objects. The hand-picked square timbers are shaped by turning. Only the finest specimens are processed further and stabilised and coated in a special procedure. This makes the wood water resistant and hard-wearing. The high-gloss surface very expressively accentuates the individual veining of the grain. Without chrome the world would forfeit a lot of its lustre. In the finish used for our wet shaving accessories it demonstrates its best qualities: The material is corrosion-resistant, very long-lasting and has a luxurious, alluring lustre. When contrasted with this, the colours and shapes of other premium materials are shown to their very best advantage. The Brushhead - Fine badger Fine badger is softer than pure badger, but somewhat firmer than silvertip badger. The hairs are light grey in colour and feature the dark stripe or band typical of high badger hair qualities. This natural hair material is extremely well-suited to wet shavers who value the softness of badger hair and want to achieve a massage effect. We process this quality mechanically according to the high standards which we apply to all MÜHLE products. If required, the crown of the brush head is slightly trimmed to obtain the perfect, typical shape of every single product. The Razorhead - Classic razor blade For generations, the safety razor has been regarded as a stylish classic which can even shave edges with precision. For many, it is the razor par excellence. Its styling is ideally suited to the design of the MÜHLE products. Even if the open blade does demand a little respect at first: After a brief familiarisation period, and guided by a steady hand, it produces a very close shave and a lasting result. Unlike modern blade systems, the head of the safety razor does not move. The blades are replaced by unscrewing the cap. They can be purchased from us and by retailers everywhere.
